Post by: RedShaft on April 11, 2007, 07:16:00 PM
I was thinking of getting a blind for turkey, Need some help! First off what kind do you reccomend, this will be for turkey hunting only. I have a few areas i've found alot of turkey sign in and was thinking of just setting up shop and playing the patience game. The spots are in the woods not along fields.

Go ahead and say what yas want but the Double Bull Matrix just aint worth the money. $400 for what? Profit mark up?
I just got the Cabelas Lighting which has more room and 10 second set up for less then 1 /2 the matrix. Three different camos available. Plenty of shoot thru windows.

You will get what you pay for... The xtra expense is for a heavy material blind, black int., NO wind movement, lifetime warranty. I've hunted from all kinds of blinds, in my opinion any Double Bull is worth the money.

The DB blinds use a non-glare SILENT fabric, they DO NOT flap in the wind, they have a SILENT window system, a large camo pattern, the BEST warranty/customer service. No other comes even close.

I bought (stole) my Double Bull Matrix recurve height blind for $225.00 bucks from a guy who broke 3 of the fiberglass rods the first time he set it up. Evidently he did something wrong when taking it down and somehow broke them. He said it was junk, and I jumped on it at that price. I called Double Bull customer service to order 3 new rods and told them I was not the original owner. They said that did not matter; the blind was warranteed for life no matter if I bought it new or from someone else. Three days later I had 3 new poles. Cost: $9.00 shipping. I'm a happy camper, and have had no problems with the blind.

The Northwoods BowII is my choice. Quick to set up and take down and the NatGear camo is the greatest.

Double Bull!!! For me! I have one of their early models it's great, one of the centre hubs broke last year. I called the guys at Double Bull they sent me three spare hubs no cost. They even phoned me two weeks after to make sure I got them and all was ok! Never in all my years of dealing with any company have they called me up after a problem and asked if all was ok, never!!!
The centre hubs on original models was abs it's now aluminum. I would recommend you spend the extra bucks and get the RECURVE model it's a bit bigger. Three of my buddies all have other brands, each one different - none of them are even close to the Double Bull in terms of quality and quietness!

DB's are worth every cent!!!  Say what you want about the cheaper one's,but they are just that..CHEAP!!

The quality and customer service just doesn't get any better!

I had the "pleasure" of hunting out of two other kinds of blinds this past year....Never again!

I used a friends double bull and was underwelmed-heavy, bulky, and very over rated IMO. I wouldn't pay $100 for a DB.
