But I thought I'd just run along with my name.
So here is the comp.....
If anyone can tell me just what it is than I'll send you some aussie screwin broadheads. Just thought I have some fun and see how up to date TradGangers are with WW11 history...
In Oz, al
kookaburra
Nope. Not even close.
is it some kind of sheild ?
My guess would be a unit pin from one of the Aussie units that faught in WW II but I have no idea which one, or is it a New Zealand army unit? :bigsmyl: JoJo
no bro not nz
I was gonna ask if it was a Boomslang, but that is a snake and that shield has a bird on it also the Boomslang is a venomus snake native to Africa.
So no clue I guess.
Danny
I know what it is .. :goldtooth:
Nope, your a ways off JoJo.
Anyone else other than Mr Coach know? ;)
Looks like some kind of hat to me.

PM me your address too mate and I'll post off the heads.
Al, I like a challenge and spent almost 2 hours researching it online. The thing that finaly gave it away was that you left the 20 kills part in the pic name!
Not only does a German sniper badge for 20 kills give me the willies (is this a WWII badge? ), but the mention of "screwin broadheads" sets me to runnin' the other way! Oh, was there supposed to be a hyphen in that word?
Killdeer~Aussie Longbow...A.L., Oh! Hi, Al! :wavey:
Killy, once again, you crack me up! :notworthy:
Neat, "New Al" ;) - and good detective work Chad. I started out with the same clue but noticed I was too late before I got headed out.
FAULKs LOGO
Chad....
If those Broadheads are from Outback Broadheads you'll love them....
I use the single bevel 125's and the fly like fieldpoints....
Killy is one witty lady lol. Alan
Guess I was too late.....grr.....for 150 kills the sniper got a hunt with Himmler. Congrats Chad!!!
If ya dont mind my asking Al where did ya happen upon it?
i finally stopped ROFLMAO, killy you rock! only you would catch that one. as a collector of patches, that is a really cool treasure.
Well spoted Killy... :notworthy: and your post put a smile to my sometimes staunch face.
Yes from all accounts it is a rather treasured patch. Back in the day, if a German sniper was caught with this item it was a death sentance. The soldiers were ment to attach 'em onto there clothing or battle tunic, but most would place them into there pay books, if kept at all.
Being from German stock I was call Kopfjagger from my platoon Sgt whilst on my snipers cse in the Infantry. Not having a clue as to what he was talking about, I went looking on the net and bookstores.
I named a longbow with that name, and it lived up to it more often than not.
I don't speak German, and you could save me a half-hour of research here. :saywhat:
Kopfjagger = Headhunter.
How times have changed...Germans are about as peaceful as it gets nowadays, but I also got the impression that shooting skills suffered a bit :(
well att least mine :knothead:
They don't even allow bow-hunting in Germany do they..I was stationed in Scweinfurt several years ago and hung out with a local forest meister, he was fascinated with bow hunting but led me to believe it was against the law
I'm safe from you! (Lost my head years ago!!) :readit:
Thanks, Al,
Killdeer
This site is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Hatchet Jack
Ben,
Unfortunately you're right :(
Bowhunting is illegal, but since it was reintroduced to other (surrounding) countries such as Denmark, France and Sweden, chances that it becomes legal could have improved. :archer:
