Hope you guys would like to see my new bow, but even if you don't, I want you to see it!!!! It's the second bow I've made. This one is from a form designed and built by Art Adkins of Montrose, MI. It's 68" long, 47# @ 28". Clear glass over curly maple that was dyed black for a subtle beauty. Riser is dymondwood. And, before anyone tells me I need to pad the shelf, in its finished form, the shelf and sight window are covered with black velcro. It shoots almost as well as my recurve (or maybe it's me, not the bow!). Anyhow, here it is.....

Wow, that a beauty Dave! I met Art several years ago at the GLLI while shooting the course and he seemed like a real nice fella.
That is excellent.

That a beauty! I'm glad you showed it to us. I'll bet that dyed curley maple shimmers beautifully in the sun. Wish I could see it in person. Mike
That is a very pretty bow. Congrats!!
Thanks, guys. As you might well imagine, I'm kind of proud of this one.
Dave
nice dave.
Very Nice Dave, if your like me you cant wait to take her in the woods. Now go check out my new bow, she needs to be seen too. :notworthy: ;)
My kinda bow right there Bud.
Very nice! The dymond wood and black glass realy look good together. What did you use for a finish?
Beautiful Bow!! Can I ask what Type of Final Finish You Used?
Looks very nice. Is there an inlay on back of window?
Steve
Nice bow! I really like the wood in the riser and the grip looks very comfortable.
Nice work Dave.Looks like a shooter.

Very nice, Dave!

The finish is automotive clear coat. A friend owns a bump shop and sprayed it for me. He'll probably never do another (though he is willing) because he's decided he needs to charge $150 to make any money! On the back side of the sight window is a brass disc with my logo on it. The glass is clear. The black you see is the curly maple. In the sunlight it kind of looks like cirrus clouds on a black sky. Here's a pic of the disc side of the riser.
