I just received my new Assenheimer yesterday. What a beautiful bow! I already have it all set up and ready to go. I have always wanted one of Don's bows. I guess I started getting a little homesick (I grew up only 45 minutes from him) so I ordered one.
The bow is Osage and Bacote in the riser and has Olive wood lams on the limbs.
I'll try to get some good pics to post of it.
Pics man, we need pics...lol...
Congrats, let us know how it shoots, and some pics sure would be nice.

Wow! love your choice in woods. Congrats and good luck with your new toy!
Very Nice Bill, you have good taste in your wood choices.
Nice bow. I missed the chance to shoot one of his recurves at the Trad Expo in Kalamazoo Mi a few years ago.He hasnt been there since. I would realy like to shoot one sometime. I remember he had a bow at the show that had the stars and stripes under clear glass in the limbs,it was realy neat. Wish someone would do an article for TBM about him.
I think the MA is gonna get jealous

I took the new one out to a shoot today and Larry you are right The MA is gonna get jealous.
It even earned a new name today "California Gold".
I cant belive my eyes. Poor, poor widow.
I still love the Widow. It's just that now it will have to share. LOL
Nice!!!
Shot the Assenhiemer through the crono Thursday night. 54# @ 28". I draw just a shade over 29". 30" arrows 505 grns. I shot 6 arrows, the slowest was 191 and the fastest was 197. I thought that was pretty good!
Were those wood arrows curlis? I have an Assenhiemer also. It is a very good bow, that is for sure. It sure does throw an arrow hard.
They were Carbon Express Terminator Selects 60-75's.
