Title: saluki vs spitfire horsebows
Post by: OH at work on April 04, 2007, 06:59:00 AM
Been checking into horsebows and was wanting to know if any has shot both Saluki and Spitfire and what your thoughts are on each?  My main use would be for hunting so also wondering if anyone has taken game larger than deer with them and how they performed on the game.

Thanks,
Joe

Well I can't speek on the spitfire but have a Saluki . I did talk to Chris from spitfire at Denton and he is a real good guy. I have had two Turks ( still have one) two Ibex bows and two longbows ( still have one) all by Saluki. The bows made by Lukas are a work of art (fit and finish)I think that they perform with the top bows being made today and are butter smooth and NO ,No,NO  hand shock at all. I have dropped down in weight over the years but stayed with Saluki for the quality and performance . You won't go wrong with Saluki . Hope this helps :0) Drew

I never shot a Spitfire, did own 2 Saluki's. Very smooth and fast. lucas is a great guy to deal with. That said, I no longer own any Saluki's. Just could not fall in love with them, even after killing a deer the first time out with an Ibex.

Are you shooting them with fingers or thumbrings?
