This is my first try at building a selfbow.I used HHB and I would appreciate it if you guys could eyeball my tiller progress.

Close to full draw.
Thanks again
Heck, that's not progess - THAT'S A BOW!!!
How far are you pulling it and how's your draw wt?
Good for you, Dave. Not Bad. Needs more bending near the handle. All the bending is happening mid limb on. Jawge
Looking good and heed what Jawge says. Definetly stay off the middle portion of the limb on the right.
Thanks to all, and I'll follow your advice Jawge.
Dave
I agree with George - but, it spends upon your draw length. Does the pic reflect full draw or is it drawn farther that you draw?
What do you think? Am I getting close?
Doug, this shows draw length about 48lbs.@28"
I was looking for a heavier bow but that's how it turned out. Thanks, Dave

I've made quite a few glass lam bows as well as all-wood lam bows and I have to say that I'm very impressed with HHB. It really seems to be a great bow wood. I'd be interested to hear what you more experienced bow builders think.
Dave
It looks a little whip tillered (bending to much in the outer limb) I would get it bending a tad more out of the fades, and there's a flat spot on the right limb just before midlimb.
Thanks Dano. Do you feel that this whip tiller can be corrected or is it beyond fixing? Would shortening the bow be an option. Thanks for the help.
Dave
It can be corrected but you are going to lose weight as you fix it. If you shorten the bow you can regain some poundage.
You can pick up some poundage by shortening you nock to nock length. I remember seeing a formula for figureing out how much to shorten to achieve a specific gain but I can't remember where I saw it, maybe one of the Bowyers Bibles.
What is you nock to nock length now?
For a great help on tillering do a search in the how to forum for Eric Krewsons tillering gizmo.
GREAT first effort. Follow the advice above and take what your learned to the next one.
