I saw a lot of goodies going out the door over the weekend. Now that I have time to sit and take a look, let's see 'em!
I shot a lot of bows over the weekend...wow...still impressed with how these bowyers continue to raise the bar. Wingnut had a Watusi horn belly bow there that shot super smooth and hit the target like a freight train. Dang that thing was pretty, almost came home with me. Shot almost one bow from every bowyer, and most of the top guys were there...Navajo, Assenheimer, Hummingbird, Cari-bow, Zipper, Morrison, etc, etc, etc.
My wife saw me shooting a Morrison Shawnee T/D longbow. The smile must have been a big one on the way back from the range. She said "Do you like that one?" "YES!!! No bow rack is complete without at least one Morrison" I replied. "Oh, that's a take-down, kind of like your T/D Pronghorn you can't find" she said. Thanks for that painful reminder. Ask me later.
Anyhow, on Sunday I see my wife walking towards me with that Shawnee in her hand and I'm thinking what the heck is she doing with that thing? Seems "Happy Anniversary" came early this year and I have an incredible short T/D longbow to chase turkeys with this year. That woman never ceases to amaze me.

You've given us a great magazine that we hope will continue its growth and be prosperous for you. Obviously a generous wife... your liven right man. And to be blessed with such a pretty daughter on top of it all, thanks for sharing.
Rusty
Hey Brian, she gets you all kind of good bows!
I have a place in mind that we could put that to good use.
Mike
Well OK it is later enough how about the pronghorn: we will help you recover from your pain,

Mike,
I hope to see that dryad bow flingin' arrows in short time... You deserved it buddy. You worked hard all weekend and put up with Hacksaw and I...
You need to finish it so you can shoot it at the Tennessee Classic in a few weeks.
It was good meeeting you.
It really was nice talking with you and Hacksaw all weekend. I really enjoyed it.
I got a short visit in on Saturday, what a show. I got some old Acme shafts, a couple of tanned beaver tails for bow grips and some samples of Chef Dan's new spice mixes for game. Most of all I got to see and visit some old and new pals. The Ferret, Jim Reynolds, Gary Davis, Coop, Brian... and more. Met some fine new friends and put faces with some on line others. Dean T, the better half of Dan and Brian...

Heck of a shindig for the first anual! Way to go Brian et al.
Oh yeah, got a fine National pressure cooker from another chef wanna be like myself. Its a real old school cooking tool that will be put to good use.
Sure hate that I had to miss this one! Dang if it didn't fall right in my busy season. Maybe next year! I think I wanna marry Mrs Halbleib! I need some new bows from a pretty lady! :goldtooth:
CK you HAVE a pretty wife who's way better to you than you deserve.. you don't need two!
Brian, I told you that stop in Sturgis on the way back last fall would pay off.
I could sure use a new sheepeater. by the way shaun, when is sturgis? :biglaugh:
Brain, don't know when the biker gathering is held. I do ride a Harley, but not to such shindigs.
We were in SD to hunt last fall and I had the gang stop at a jewelry place for some Black Hills gold trinkets for the ladies at home. Its good to remember to keep the home fires bright if you want to hunt a lot. There's more to woodcraft than tracking...
Shaun :notworthy: Good thinkin'.
