On Christmas Day of last year, at about 12:30 in the afternoon, I had a bad crash at Keystone - old fat people should not ski fast. Well, I tore the tendons in my left forearm (a bad class 2 tear), at the elbow. I have been working with a Doctor and a Physical Therapist, and for the last 3 weeks, have been doing some light work with weights. Making slow progress, even managed to hunt the Texas Sweat and take a nice goat with a light weight longbow. Well, tonight, for the first time since before Christmas (13 weeks ago), I was able to pull to full draw and shoot my hunting weight bows!! I am going to take it slow, but it feels so good to be most of the way back! :archer:
Good for you bud...take it slow...before ya know it,you'll be better than ever!
Mel - Sure didn't realize you were handicapped!!
Wish you a speedy recovery.
Gary
Good deal. Now follow the advice and take your time. A while yet before deer season.
Good deal Mel! Plenty of time now until fall. Do you bowhunt for turkeys? Of course, the light weight bow would be fine for those. Glad to hear you're on the mend.
take it slowwwww dont go over doing it
The human body is an awsome creation. Glad you are recovering.
Good for you. By this fall you should be more than ready for hunting season. :archer:
The important thing is can you still ride your bike? ;)
and don't be making fun of girly weight bows Mr manly man
GO SLOW AND BE IN NO HURRY AND THATS GREAT NEWS!!!!!GOOD LUCK
Great Mel, glad to hear your doing better. Now as everyone above has already said: Fall is a long ways off, take your time and don't rush. The second time around takes much longer!!!!
Mickey, my hunting bows are only 55 to 58 lbs! And, yes, still riding the "hog".
Congrats Mel, prayers for continued 100% recovery. Keep up with the PT exercises, those guys sure know what they're doing.
welcome back.
Irish....
Glad to hear your healing good....
Take it slow....
Skiing is dangerous! :scared:
Stick to hunting!! Oh, and stay out of the bathtub and the kitchen. That's where the rest of the accidents take place. :readit:
