Will this work or should I just order a piece of bamboo that would cover the whole thing. Would Titebond II work to hold it together? I have not found the suggested Urac-185. I think I remember it being suggested for some projects just don't remember what for.
The two problems with the bamboo I see is the seams where they meet at the handle and side by side.

I think you'll be waisting your time.. Just my opinion,,, Sorry!
no just learning the hard way. :knothead:
I'd say no but it doesn't hurt to try. Keep us informed. Be careful with bamboo. Nasty splinters abound.
I'd be surprised if anything worked, but hey, surprise me!
Sent you a PM about a source for Urac.
The thing about trying a repair, you learn a lot in the process.
More on Urac:
I usually buy two pints with hardner and keep one in the frig until I need it. It will keep for 3 years or so if you store it in a frig, around a year at room temp. A pint will glue up 5 or 6 bows.
thanks I don't really know just trying Ideals. I mean I could take a chance and just try to split it the rest of the way and decrown and back. If the split did not run straight and true I would be stuck.
