Hello fellow TradGangers.... Today I started looking for a supplier of Quailty wood shafting. I'm looking for a shaft that will weight around 400gr @29.5 BOP. POC has been the type of wood I have used for many years. I have contacted a few shops in the sponsers links. One of the biggest told me that the best they can do is +or- 20gr and thats the standard. OK I know that most all suppliers do +or- 10gr. I don't mind paying for quality. I'm also open to a new shaft material. So who's has top quality shafting? Would love to support a sponser if possible. Thanks for your inputs.......Mark
Wildcat Canyon Archery, Milt Beens: 970/247-2894. He can meet all your needs and is absolutely honest.
Raptor Archery...good varitey of shafts, great customer service. Easy to find on the web.
Hex shafting! Whispering wind has some nice stuff. Hex shafting is awfully tough, and makes a pretty arrow as well.

I like to match my shafts to within 5 grains, but straight grain and closely matched consistent spine is a lot more important than 10-20 grain weight variability.
Yes I second Ted at www.raptorarchery.com (http://www.raptorarchery.com) he will match them crazy close for you in weight and spine.

I second that! Give Bob Burton a call. I dont think he is a sponsor here so you might have to do a search for his number.
Foxfire archery. =or- 5# spine and +or- 5 grains in weight
boy I really liked barrel tapered ash however my supplier has since gone into retirement.
These last handful of years I've switched to cedar due to Paula at RRA. They've now retired. The only other person I would buy cedar from would be Raven Archery. Raven's shafts are as good as they come!!!! I've heard rumors of him retiring in the upcoming near future. Not even sure if he's back building at this point or not. If he is, you cant go wrong!!! Ravens 2nds, if you can even get them, are better then everyone else's firsts!!!!!!
