Title: Brownell or BCY

Which string material to use?  Do you have a preference and why?  Thanks.

BCY is my preferance, due to the customer service they provide.  Several years ago I tried to get a dealership with Brownell and the rep. I talked with was just flat out rude, and had no interest in my business (she told me to go through one of their dealers).  Things may have changed, but BCY has given me no reason to look anywhere else.  The good folks at BCY have always treated me like a million dollar customer, and if I have any questions it's not a problem to get an answer from Ray Browne himself.

I like their materials also--especially Dynaflight '97.

While I don't make strings, I think Brownell's TS+ is the best material out there because it's almost as fast as the fastest and the easily the quietest I've used. Your mileage may vary but it's rang true for about 20 or so strings for me.

I do prefer BCY's Halo serving over Brownell's offerings.
