I usually don't post ,but I just bought a 64" 55@26 death adder. I felt like the guy playing golf on caddy shack.I'm shooting better than I have in months...... Noticeably better out to 30 Yds.The DA seems to be very forgiving from a spine stand point. It's Also quiet from 8 to 10 grains per pound. I've been going around and around with arrow selection and noise with my psa widow. The DA is a little heaver than I'd like, I pull about 27" ,but I think I can grow into it.It's about a 7 pound jump. It feels a little more harsh than my psa ,but it could have more to do with the weight than construction. I don't know how fast it shoots ,but it spits them out fast and quiet for sure. We'll see if my consistency continues if it does... good by widow and hello habu do you do.I assume the Viper kahnn would be a close match with maybe a little proformance ?
Thanks for the great post, IMO you should do so more often. Always nice to hear a sucess story and hear about the preformance of a diff bow.
Hope it stays with you
Jake
Congrats Kevin. Come shoot with us at some of the GA shoots sometime...this the season. Where are you in GA, we have one this Sunday in Gainesville.
Kevin-
Glad you like the bow and hope it continues to shoot well for you. I will post pics of my Rose Oak for all to see next week. Shoot straight buddy.

kevin, one thing that i've noticed on mine that radically will improve everything you've said about the death adder is to call and talk to chad weaver or rod jenkins and get a 10-12 strand 8125 string with the proper serving for your nocks, goes from minimal hand shock to nothing, improves speed over the stock habu string by 6-8 fps (vs. my old habu 16 strand strings) and will allow better spine tolerance b/c the stock habu serving is so huge. all in all you can improve that great bow easily with a string change. try it!
Centaur- How can I get in contact with Chad or Rod to see if they can make me some strings?
Thanks
Rod's day job has him out of the string business, at least for a while.
You can contact Chad (LBR here on Tradgang) through his website, http://www.recurves.com/ He's a fine fellow and you will be very happy with any string he makes you.
i recently bought a used habu bushmaster from a fellow ganger. The first time i shot it i said "wow" out loud!! Smooth to draw and dead in the hand. I didnt think there was a better bow than a bob lee, but im falling in love with my habu for target shooting.
I have got to shoot one of these things. I never see one anywhere! It's seems to me these Habu's are the best design for a 3 pc longbow.
Kevman the rules explicitly state that if you are going to talk about a new bow you have to include pics or the mods may pull your thread!
doug S -- so far i'd have to agree with your statement.
I second that Bjorn. Alan
Hey guys I've been out of town this week working and shooting my rear end off. I'm going to take a few days to recover. The ole bow arm is a little tattered. Now I now we don't care about speed here ,so I will not tell you about speed. I'll tell you about efficiency using FPS as a standard of measurement.(All measurements were taken 3 shot avg, scaled weight.
My widow 50 @ 26 541 grn 156fps / 464grn 165fps.
Death adder 51.5 @ 26 541 grn 171 FPS 464grn 181fps.
I know! I know! that's wheel guy chatter. I on the other hand some would call it a product review.I'll take super quiet controllable speed any day of the week. That is what I'm so impressed with ,more speed and noise reduction across the board. The widows are fine good shooting sturdy platforms ,but I can't find a reason to keep shooting one at this point.Well anyway I'm still "honey moonin" you know how fickle we are. Things could change ,but for now this is the only girl for me.Did I mention that I sent Chris Cox a deposit for a new Vyper double carbon.I told you I'm in LOVE !!! JC I shoot several events in the southeast each year. I shot with you all last month.Fun folks and a fun shoot. This weekend is out ,but I hope to make the rest.
