Title: The Elusive triple crown of sheds.
Post by: B.O.D. on March 21, 2007, 02:57:00 PM
I have  looked for sheds for a long time, sometimes i find big ones, one time I have found matched sets; but this is the best to date. I found a giant shed today, right in my hunting area that has, great mass and 3 BROW tines..maybe 4 if you count the little sticker. I have never seen a shed like this one.
there is still quite a bit of snow in the bush; but now I have an idea of where  the other will be!

Here are the pics. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v611/ashstyk/bows%202/IMGP0892.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v611/ashstyk/bows%202/IMGP0893.jpg)

I wished I lived near a bow only zone like Edmonton.
Some of those Ontario deer are monsters.

JDinPA,

you are right, Ontario is coming on as a real big buck spot, we have always had big deer; but now with the increase in both corn and bean production, we are getting some real big Iowa/ Alberta/Saskatchewan-class bucks. Remember last year  a buck was killed illegaly near Dryden Ontario that was world record material.

Looks like a great buck on the downhill slide -- lots of mass, short tines, and very flat (almost cupped) where it came off the pedicle.  Sure hope the old boy makes it through the winter.  And good luck to you finding the matching side!
