Title: longbow grip?
Post by: jacobsladder on March 19, 2007, 08:49:00 AM
are there many longbows built with a grip or handle more similar to a recurve. I like the shrew handle and seem to shoot pretty well with a larger grip... thanks.

Oh yeah, tons of them. Especially in the 3-piece.

Bob Lee T/D longbow comes to mind in the 3 piece.

Horne brush bow comes to mind in a one piece. You can get the Horne brush bow in a 2 piece also.

Morrison Shawnee, Black Swan Impala, etc. If the Shrew grip works for you though, sounds like you found what you need and a great bow to boot.

Steve, you might take a look at the Martin Vision. It has a true recurve grip, as far as I can tell. Lots of locators around, just not as hand filling as the Martin.
