here is the finished riser that i decided to build after shooting my good friend's DAS back in november. as i have said in many posts on many sites, my closed minded thinking of what were "traditional" materials for a riser almost cost me the chance to shoot one of the most enjoyable recurves i have ever shot. i have not had a lot of time lately to finish it due to work taking up much of my time lately so it is going slow. i now have to finish out three sets of limbs for it. the limbs shown in these pics are still unfinished and are not for this bow (just to show what they will look like) but the veneers are exactly the same that will go on the "purdy" limbs. the limb pads are interchangable for my longbow limbpads. when finished, i will have a set of the purdy glass limbs, carbon hybrid, and carbon recurve limbs. both the hybrid and carbon recurve limbs will be finished in snake skins or skin-eez. unfortunately, i did not get the harmonic dampeners in time so i did not use them in this riser...... the next riser is designed around them as well as max vibration dampening and will accept ILFs as well as all of my limbs (that project won't even get touched until next winter when i have more time). i have run a bunch of arrows off this riser with some prototype limbs before it was even finished, it seems to shoot really nice. i will post more pics of the bow when it is complete. it is going to the engraver this week to have the bow's name "Momentum" as well as the name i always inscribe my bows with "TimberGhost Customs" as well as built by Gino Bruno on it. hope you enjoy the pics.
