Well, my dad had a bear grizzly in the early sixties, then he, like everyone else bought a compound. then he had rotator cuff surgery and so he bought a crossbow. and he has been hunting with the crossbow for about 8 or 9 years. and today we went to a local arcchery shop so i could get some more carbons for my savanah, and he sees a bear montana for sale, knowing i have been wanting him to try a trad bow, so we can shoot together, and since he used to shoot trad he knows how much fun it is, he gets them to string it up and while i'm outside bareshafting some eastons he walks over there with the montana and grabs a few of my 2018s (which are a tad stiff for my savannah, but perfect for that monanta) and starts shooting, and he wasn't doing bad either. so he buys the bow (mean while a silent celebration is going on in my head). and we go home and spend most of the afternoon shooting.
Gotta love it !! Cool stuff man !!
As it should be...
Most come back around sooner or later. Glad to hear your spending some real quality time with your dad. Cool indeed!

Your both lucky Men....
I agree with mike g.
I'm happy for you both.
When I was around 13 my dad was in a serious car/tractor wreck and out of work for three years and never fully recovered physically.
We did get to do fishing together, later on.
Things can happen so fast. Make the most of every day
thanks guys, we were hunting together since i was eight, then since i turned twelve we have been hunting within a few hundred yards of each other. (i'm only 15) and we fish together all the time. hopfully he will be ready to hunt with that bow by this season, so we can do some trad hunting together.
