Post by: RGK on March 17, 2007, 05:43:00 PM
Finished a half dozen flu flu arrows today. I use 5 1/2 inch long 4 fletch. I also made a few small game heads to go with them.

Are those crown dipped or arrow wraps?  If they are dipped how did you do that?

I spray them with white lacquer and then crest by hand. and finally spray with a clear lacquer.

I used .025 spring (music) wire. I drilled holes in the field point and inserted the wire. I used a needle nose pliers to bend the wire to shape.

They might be a little "girly", but they should be easy to find. Look good to me. Hap

well, u can have arrows that look girly that u can find in the brush, or u can go and get olive green and brown that are near impossible to find if u miss. Your choice

It takes a real man to wear pink. I'm not sure if the same applies to shooting pink  :D

Put a Florida flamingo to shame   :bigsmyl:

I like the arrows...want to sell one?
I bet that suit would fit me too...ha, ha, ha; but that's ok...
I think it probably looks better on you.

We doctored up some arrows like that in the '70s for a pigeon hunt. We used metal coat hanger wire with big loops; but yours is probably better.
I hope you hit more than I did.

Those arrows do look nice, and those points are really cool.  How about a build along, of the points, with pictures?

I'm not sure what I'd show. You drill 2 holes at 90 degrees to each other. Insert the wire and bend it.
