The long wait is over and I'm pumped! Chad emailed me today and my new sabre takedown is coming my way :D . Chad was kind enough to send me some pictures and now I'm really anxious to get in. Wanna see?

The riser is cocobolo and bocote with black walnut limbs. 66" in length, pulling 45#@28", I can only hope it shoots half as good as it looks. I'll get a little more info posted about feel and performance once I get it in and have a chance to put it through the paces.
I ordered a Thunderbird longbow before Christmas...I hope it is done soon too!
nice looking bow Chris, you will love the sabre.

Looking forward to the full review. Fine looking bow.
I love my Hunter I, it's with out a doubt one of the best shooting recurves that I have ever shot. I think Chek-mates are great bows and at a great price.
WOW - beautiful. I have just ordered a Sabre too - so now I can wait 6 months... :jumper:
How did you get the small pieces of wood at the back (belly) side of the riser - was that special order? How long time did you wait for it?
Very Nice Chris!!! congradulations
Thorvald.....The small sections of cocobolo on the riser belly were not special order. I assume they're there as a result of the riser lamination and cut out process. The wait has been a touch over 9 months.
Really Nice looking

Chad have told me that this design is standard, when two different woods are selected for the riser. So now I look even more forward to receive my bow!! :jumper:
Congrats Chris, beautiful bow. Looks like my Hunter 56 is at the Post Office as I write this. I'll run into town a bit later in the morning and pick it up...
Thorvald....What woods did you finally decide on for your riser and limbs?
NDT....You know we want to see pictures after a bit. :D
False alarm, package for my wife...
Pics as soon as it arrives, Chris...

Don't you just hate it when that happens. :D
My final choices of woods: Riser at the front part is Bolivian Rosewood and at the belly part of the riser is Cocobolo. Limbs corewood is Yew, veneer at the front of limbs is Bocote, and veneer at the belly of the limbs is Japanese Tamo Ash and of course clear glass. 68", 27#@25,75". That is my draw length 25,75".
