Who uses Legacy 1916s. Is it heavy enough for big game? Right now, I am usng 1916s with a total of 464 gr with 145 tip. My bow is 50@25". Is 464gr heavy enough for most of the big game out there? Thanks
-Yaak
legacy 2016 would be better.
Yaak, your dead on with spine for your short draw, you should have no problems with deer as long as you do your part.
I hope so. I just orderd a dozen from ArrowsByKelly.com.
Hey There Yaak!!!...Don't run out and buy any 2016's just yet!...I have plenty for you to try first... ;) ...
... mike ...
I have a 28" draw and also shoot 50#, my 1916's bare shaft and shoot so much better than my 2016's I sold all the 2016 arrows I had. There is only 15 or so grains of difference between the 2 so weight isnt an issue. I have shot through many deer and a couple of pigs with 1916's. I would use them elk hunting if I ever get the time to go.
nope not 2016.....1916 are better..thats what I shoot too...ditto to Jason !!!!sharp BH is what counts!!!!
Does "Arrows By Kelly" have Good, or Competative Pricing? I am going to be in the Market here soon for some Legacys. Just Askin'!
Bear in mind that I am a newbie. However I am pretty good at searching on the internet and I found their prices to be at least as good as any others, if not better.
I've seen the Legacy's referred to many times. Just what is the difference between the Legacy and a Gamegetter?
Thanks,
Rusty <><
Gamegetter's are solid green, Gamegetter II's have camo'd bands of brown, tan, and grey, and Legacy's have an awesome woodgrain pattern, similar to the 4-point footed cedars Doug Easton used to make...
I shot 1916 and 2016 and settled on the 2016. They fly like darts.(My bow is lighter in draw weight but my draw is longer). These Legacy 2016 seem to flex just a little less then the 1916. If I had to, I could use either one. They are real close in performance for me. MY 2 PENNIES WORTH!!!!!
I shoot 1916's out of a few of my bows and they are fine,, 2016 with a 160 up fron would work and even 2114's will work for deer too!
if a 41# wing recurve shooting 1918's can put a muzzy 4-blade 90 tipped arrow through both lungs on a 7-pointer at 22yds then your all set with whatever shoots good, witnessing that pretty much clinched it for me that whatever you can hit good with will work on whitetail Deer.
