I know this may look like a repeat thread, with the other show your quivers thread, but a little different. Because of that thread I am starting this one. After seeing such beautiful pieces of art, I have an itch to build a lakota style side quiver. Saw a few on the other thread. was lookinh for any plans or designs for such quivers, and as always pics are appreciated. thanks all... matt
The one made by Barb for Killdeer sure is special, isn't it? I can't help with plans, but Shell has some pictures on her website... http://community.webshots.com/user/fishrofmen1

I have detailed directions and pictures in a MS word document. If I can get the home computer up and running tonight (blue screen of death yesterday) I'll email them to you.
checked Shell's site beautiful work there. thanks for the info
I'm right on the verge of doing a buildalong of one for the Howard Hill guys... hopefully next week. Won't be an art work, I leave that to the individual, but I've built three now that were "test beds" using leftover upholstery leather from my wife's business. Now I'm ready to buy some better leather and go for broke. Have to recover from excessive yard work this week and an antique sewing machine convention this weekend, but then I think I'm clear to do this. If this thread is still going, I'll post results to it.
Here's a pic of the Mark I model. Newer version inlcudes a pouch and sheath...

Here's a link to a site with plans. I used this to make my first. First I taped together a working model wih poster paper, then used those parts as a pattern to transfer to leather. I was worried about making scrap.

It was an overcast day, flash was off, but you get the idea. Alot more basic than the quivers posted so far, mind you.
NativeArcher (and everyone who emailed me), I emailed the instructions. Hope they help :)
