Purchased this from Ray Hammond a couple weeks ago, thanks Ray yuou were a pleasure to deal with.
Not sure of the woods cant remember the combo but this is one of the nicest looking/shooting recurves Ive shot, its quiet and fast.Believe it has Sambar Stag tips and either Elk or Deer on back/fronts of riser. Beauty!
That is beautiful. A real heirloom.
Beautiful!!
Sweet...great looking bow!
I have 2 Zippers that I'll never part with....great bows. One is a 1993 Stacy Grosscup edition, the other Bob built 2 years ago for me.
i would love to buy a Left Hand ZIPSTICK if anyone wants to sell it
works of art those Zippers are. great shooters to. enjoy... matt
Cool, never seen the white limb tips before.
Billy, what was the Stacy Grosscup version all about? Do you have any pictures?
Nice
Its tiger stripe/curly maple and shedua...that was Bob's classic choice for risers..and my personal favorite too (unless I can get one of those elk antler handled jobs) Those tips Beachie, are antler...just polished down below the bark is all.
I was good to deal with except for the limb knobs, eh???!!!! :bigsmyl:
Beachbowhunter.
I'm not real sure about the bow, but someone mentioned the Stacy Grosscup edition bows 8 or 10 years ago. I talked to Bob along that time and he said he built several bows with the same woods that stacy liked (bubinga & curly maple), but none of the bows had stacy's name on them as far as he could remember, except the ones he actually made for stacy....Bob said it could very well be one that belonged to Stacy.
However....Bob built thousands of risers using Bubinga and Curly Maple, so that confuses things a bit. I bought the bow from Mike Balinger @ 7 Lakes Long Bows. At that time, Mike didn't recognize the name on the bow, but I did, so I bought it.
Sweet bow. Ray, glad to see you back to normal! LOL
I believe the Stacy Grosscup signiture models were made by Bob for Golden Eagle Archery don't know how many were made but I hve one.
They were, Nanook. I had one.
A beauty for sure!
 nice bow :archer:
