So, I asked Doug to make me some knives a few months ago. I really wanted his input on what he thought about different options. We spoke a few times and settled on a Damascus blades and Sheep Horn handles. I haven't received them yet but he sent an email with these photos to make sure I approved, LOL approve??? :knothead: R U KIDDING, I'm astounded he is really an amazing talent. :bigsmyl:  :clapper:

p.s. Just so you know he said he took the photos in low light a little late, that may be true, but IMHO even in the dark these babies would shine!
Beautiful!!
I have 1 DC knife,a little Damascus neck knife that I use in a Bracer.I'd love to get a matched set of Doug's knives.Gorgeous knives!!
Awesome!
Wait one doggone moment :notworthy: :notworthy:
SWEEEEEET!!! I just love the blade on the bigger one.
Wow!Awesome that big one is outstanding. Not that the little ones aslouch.
Not only are his knives drop-dead, but he takes such awesome pics of them too. The man has some serious talent!!
Awesome Knives....I have recently got one of Doug's small caper's.....(damascus & osage)....a Biggie quote about DC knives..."almost to purty to stick up a hog's butt"....
I'm almost not surprised any more when I see the pictures in any post about Doug's knives. It's like seeing a thread about "look at my new Blacktail Take-down". You know when you open it up the picture, it's going to be stunning craftsmanship.
I really like the bottom knife. It's similar in shape/design to our Michigan Bow Hunters Association 60th anniversary knife and it feels really good in my hand.
Enjoy your new tools.
Almost too purty to get bloody. Simply beautiful work.
Very very nice!

Man 'o' Man, I gotta git me one of those!!
Vance and Killdeer, Don't go getting no crazy ideas or nothing. A nice invite out to Wyoming to hunt those speed goats might get you something though. ;) These are from my darling wife for my 37th birthday. She's a real keeper, can't quite figure out why she hangs on to me though
:clapper: You got a good one, all right! Now I expect one of these guys to up and say that she was really supposed to be his wife...
Killdeer :biglaugh:
Andrew :scared: Why did she then wait 20 years to give them to you :saywhat: :saywhat:
Well maybe it was Doug's fault :bigsmyl: He said he was "So far behind he thought he was in First Place"
Well Killi, no one is getting her for sure :readit: After she gave me that daughter of mine,

the rest is just gravy. She'd have to chase me away with a quiver of snuffers to get me to go anywhere :D Oh maybe I shouldn't have taught her to shoot :knothead:
Vance, I'm sure Doug will pull off another work of art for you. I'll keep you posted on how nice they are so you get really impatient, it will be just like your five again and every day is 3 days before Christmas for you :D
Oooh! I just saw a pic of who is in first place! What a lovely girl, she looks like she is having a ball out there streamside! Way to go, MOM!
Nine-miler, you married a winner for sure!
