I just got done with this cute little osage bow for my nephew. Its 32" ntn and pulls 15#@12" This will be his first bow as he is turning 5 years old next month.....I made him some little 12"cane arrows with blunt tips to go along with it just in case he desides to try to shoot the cat or something lol... Oh, and I was able to use the side trimmings off of the timersnake skins from my recurve from last month to back it. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think? I decided to make this bow for him the other day because his mother(my sister) told me he's been asking about going deer hunting with me when he gets older. I want to do every thing I can to encourage him to take up hunting and archery, since his father hasnt the slightest clue about it....I hope he enjoys the heck out of this little bow, I'll try to post some pictures of him with the bow soon!

Mighty fine job!!! He is really going to love that.
Very Nice Ryan. Bet his face will light up big time on that surprise.
Sweet man, good work! Thats the best way to insure him being in the deer woods with you down the line!
VERY COOL!! I can't wait to make a little bow for my wee one. Love to see people keeping kids outside and doing good things in a world of DVDs, TV, and Xbox.
Thanks Guys! I think it turned out really cool. Ive been shooting it in the house at the back of the couch for a back stop and it really wings those little cane arrows! The cats are definetly in trouble! lol...
I like the way you put the arrow pass on both sides like that! The bow can do double duty! Very nice!!
That is cool Ryan, I am sure he will love it when he sees it.

That is is way cool! Great job on that little bow! I am looking for something like that for my 5 year old daughter. I don't trust my bow making skills enough yet to do it myself though. Your nephew is gonna love it!
Ryan,
That's cool! I wish I had used some foresight and some skill to do something like that for my son when he was that age. We used plastic and fiberglass bows all along.
They got no soul, if ya know what I mean. That has class. something he can treasure all his life.
Rusty <><
Thanks again for the complements Guys.
I do know what you mean Rusty. I'm going to try to get him hooked on primitive bows early!
That is just way to cool, I'm sure it will be a very happy birthday for sure.
A birthday he will never forget for sure :0) very nice bow!!
