Title: Drying/hotbox plans needed
Post by: Bob at Work on March 06, 2007, 12:21:00 PM
I need to build a drying box and looked and looked last night for the plans...someone please point me in the right direction.  I also see where some use dimmers, some hot water heater thermostats, and some other stuff...what's best?
I spent 3 days trying to get a backing glue job to dry when the shop was just above freezing and it never did...so I'm building a box this week.
thanks.

Bob

For those who've used heat boxes and heat strips, is one clearly better than the other?  What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Yes, heat strips are clearly better.  There are no disadvantgages to heat strips.

thanks all...the stickbow box looks like a good place to start...and I need a box because I also need to dry wood from time to time, not just heat glue ups...
thanks again.
