well i just got back from Lemmes archey in ny.
Wow, what a nice store, and what friendly people!
i spoke with the owner Mario, for a few minutes before he said to me,"lets go out back and shoot some bows"!
he showed me the great plains Rio Bravo. WOW i shot that bow like it was made for me!!!
know i know what you mean HERKIMER HUNTER!!
the only thing wrong with the day was that i guess i did not really prepare myself for the prices of these differant bows. i mean i new they weren't going to be cheap.
but being that i am so new to the sport i cant really see myself spending $600.00 on my first bow. (thats the price of the rio bravo)
to anyone in the albany area who is looking for a great place to talk traditional, or anything archery for that matter! check out Lemmes archery

Yup, nice guys. The original owner Tom Lemme still comes by now and than. I shot a few arrows with him and Mario last weekend at a swinging foam target in the back. That Great Plains is a nice bow by the way. I was in yesterday as well and he is working on getting more of a traditional section as well. He has tons of shafts, I believe 20,000 or so and I will be getting some for sure. I hope he expands his ordering of trad. supplies, as it is close by and would save me some time and money. Shawn
This is good stuff to know....being I need some turkey arrows and such.
Buy the best bow you can aford ...you will be alot happier...good luck..marco#78
Shawn, last time I was there all I heard was hows Lemme's was gonna expand on it's trad selection. So far, that place is where I do all my local shopping...
I talked to Mario today. He said you shot it like you owned it.Like Bayou said, you wont likely tire of trad and the better the bow the more youll enjoy. There are some good ones here in the classifieds though.Next time you come through get in touch.I got a few you could try as well. Not for sale though.Theyre mine, ya hear!!!!Talk to ya.
thanks for the great replies guys! :wavey:
