Title: Something Really Cool
Post by: **DONOTDELETE** on February 28, 2007, 08:35:00 PM
I posted an ad in the classifieds about a week ago to sell some Easton 2016 arrows. Well I sold them and was told the payment was on the way. Well, I got home today and there was a box on my front porch. I wasnt expecting anything in a box so I was wondering what it was. Well I opened it up, and went to look at what was inside. There were two balls of glass, hollow inside. I had no clue as to what these were, or why someone would send them to me, then I seen a piece of paper folded up. It was a note with a check for the arrows stapled too it. It stated, here is the money for the arrows. And, as a tip, here are some glass balls I found while beach combing. They were found in the Alaskan Peninsula near Port Moller. VERY COOL! Such nice and fascinating people on this site. Glad to be a part of it. Justin

They're net floats. Usually from Japanese trawlers. They are pretty neat!!!

Really. Thats pretty cool. I had no idea if they were naturally made or what. They are just little balls of glass, hollow inside, about 3 or 4 inches big.

I was just going to post as to what you recieved when I read what Larry posted. When I lived in Oregon I bought a couple of glass floats. Mine were about 8 inches with heavy netting on them with a loop at the top. Wish I could say I found them. They are cool. You got a neat tip.

Well, You sure got a nice tip. Those things are worth a lot of money to collectors. They have not been used in years and have been probably floating around for a very very long time. Hang on to those.

Somehwere I've got a couple of those net floats with the rope webbing still intact that my Dad brought back from Alaska on a tour on the "DEW Line" when he was in the Airforce. Pretty cool stuff
