Hey guys I just bought some string silencers from cabelas. I decided I needed some and knew I couldnt get any hush puppies in time to go with my bow hush already on it the bow hush really gets it quiet I love the stuff but wanting to see if I cant get it a bit quieter..like I said I just bought some cheap rubbery cat whisker like ones until i can get some hush puppies ordered.. how far down should i put them etc..I am completely lost..I am putting them on my superkodiak 65lbs at 28 draw 31 that will hopefully get a shot at some hogs this weekend at SEMO..Thanks again not sure why it takes me a book to ask a simple question :banghead: ..thanks guys
String the bow, measure the length of the string from where it last touches the limb on the top limb to where it last touches the limb on the bottom limb, divide that by 4 and place the silencer on eash end of the string at that measurement. IE if the string is 52" from point to point divide by 4=13" so measure down from the point 13" and place your silencer there on each end of the string.

Do just like Danny said and you're good to go. When you get your Hushpuppies you can mix the rubbery whisker thingies in with the yarn and it makes them even better.
The girls at Bowhush were doing that very thing for a while... don't know why it didn't take off.
Will do thanks a ton guys
Talk about good timing, I am about to put on my first set of bow hush and hush puppies.
Charlie, just lay the rubber whiskers on top of the hush puppies, and install like the instructions say?
Thanks, Dan
The reasons Bow Hush didn't continue incorporating the rubber into the Hush Puppies are.....
Rubber is heavy and added more weight.
The rubber added more cost.
But the main reason was, there was no noticable difference in the noise.
Cost more, weighed more, not any more quiet....just didn't make sense.
OH YEAH!!? ;) :D
OOOOHHHH, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!!!!!
This outa be good!!
:bigsmyl:
Thanks guys.
I'll start without, with respect to the owner's pop.
