Hey there, I love all the build alongs and guys showin' what they make etc. I'm not what I would call a very handy type of person, and my tool selection is limited to the extreme. Seeing some of the prodjects on here makes me want to buy a shed and fill it with tools so I can make stuff. Then I occasinally read that some of these things are done with very simple tools. I like when the types of tools used are described more often. I see some of these shop pics and think.... well, forget that one. Just want to let every one who makes stuff know that I love seeing these things, even if I can't do it myself.
Jerry,
Many of these projects do require simple tools (although some of us are tool junkies). My first three bows were made with a draw knife, wood file, and sand paper, and I used a tru-oil finish. Very simple. =) Where are you at in PA?
oh, I forgot to add, I made my wifes bow with an Ulu.... and I don't even have a garage! I built the whole thing in a hallway that we didn't use that much in our apartment.
