I cut all the leather for this quiver with this knife, still razor sharp. Victor Smith makes a great knife

man I wish my "bored" time was that productive....
Come to think of it I wish any of my time was that productive...
Somebody took advantage of a Tandy's Concho sale this month. LOL!!! I almost bought one too. Great looking quiver and BEAUTIFUL knife.
Congrats on both counts.
Looks good, I am just finishing up my first quivers (hipster and back). I just have to layout the strap and lace up the quiver and I will be done =). What leather is that?
Great work Mark. Gotta see some of your stuff in person. Might be able to make it to Bear State one of these months, I hope....
Very nice work Mark!
Wow, how does one get on your "good buddy x-mas list" about the time you're getting bored? :saywhat:
Beautiful work! Those pics are very nice indeed!! Mark, you are a true craftsman!!
Wonderfully made!! :notworthy: :notworthy:
Thanks for the kind words. When I first got into archery a couple of ol timers took me under their wings. I showed up with a recurve during the time when most were shoot wheels (1987). they passed on there crafts, flemish strings, cresting, quivers and other things. I'm truly blessed to have had such great mentors at the start. So with that being said I will gladly pass along these crafts or help in any way I can my fellow archer.

Good work Mark! Real nice.
Eric
hey a saw that this weekend it looked real nice. i still remember you saying the starp in the middle is the way to go. by the way where did you get the leather from
why didn't come up and say hi Eric? Would enjoy meeting you. I get my leather from Tandy 6/7. remember the big Trad shoot in april, a bunch of us are going. Mark
wish i had the materials to make that stuff!!!
Nice pic's slick, Peace :clapper:
Thanks, you took them.............
i didn't know who you were intell terry told me. i was with him and kevin.
Mark, what brand paint did you use on carbons. I tried to rough up my carbon express shafts but the fletch-lac still ran off of them. I used fletch-lac thinner to clean before dipping also. I know my paint is ok as I dipped some woods at the same time and they are fine.
Thanks Tom
I used fletch-lac paint. I sanded my shafts with 100grit sand paper then cleaned with acetone. I have done this method with easton axis, acc, ace, and goldtip. I have never had any problems with this method. note during the early years, when carbons first came out we dipped them in fletch-lac clear first...Mark
Very nice work.
Man that's nice stuff....I'm creatively challenged.
When I get bored, I just make a sandwich
I get bored too but I don't have the skills to make something that nice. Great work!!!
