Mike,
Nice looking paddle...umm...I mean bow. And the the deer is nice too.
AWESOME !!!
This was one great hunt, I took this mulie as well as a buck and doe antelope.
This hunt was in Wyoming and the mulie was taken spot and stalk using a bamboo backed osage bow that I backed with the canebreak's and the bow was made for me by my good friend Neal Brown from Redwater Longbows in MS. carbon shaft made up for me by Danny @ 3Rivers and Woodsman heads. I got to within 15 and 20 yards of two other buck one of which was even larger than this one, but was unable to get a shot at either and when they got out of their bed they blew out like a quail.
The antelope were taken with a sinew backed horn bow made for me by Mr. Ed Scott and are as far as I know the first taken in modern times with such a weapon.
I have some articles to do on these so check the TBM and PA mags for the stories. All I can say is that this was one heck of a trip and two great bows taking three great animals.

Nicely done. You epitomize traditional archery, and hunt the way many of us want to. Keep it up, and keep up the writing too. Congrats on the harvest.
Hey Walt, in Arkansas we don't think ah inch and a half is all that wide we shoot big bows down here.

Hey Mark,
