Aside from the Dalaa, and the other one, are there any other options for a short (17") metal riser that accepts all manner of ILF limbs? Anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Mark
Tradtech Titan
I shot a tradtech titan at the ATBA shoot this august it was a very nice bow it had the carbon foam limbs and was both very stable and quite fast too boot the ilf fitting worked very well and if I was in the market for a metal handled bow I would definatly give it a very close look
"Aside from the Dalaa, and the other one"
None that I know of... Do you have a reason not to buy either of those. i've shot both a fair bit and they both will do the job quite nicely...
My metal riser is 19" though and shoots as well or better than those... TAC Firefly.

You can get a Warf riser from Bob Gordon.
Bernardini makes the 21" Cobra riser and the 19" Mamba riser that should be suitable for hunting. They are $$$ though!
While not a "plug and play" bow the Hoyt Gamemaster and Dorado will accept any ILF limbs with a bushing swap.
I shoot a TAC Firefly and couldn't be happier with it.
The Hoyt Dorado riser is 19in and the GM is 21in. I am trying to get them to look into offering a 15 or 17in Dorado riser option. Only way to get something like that would be to bombard them with requests for this. They told me nobody had ever mentioned a shorter riser, so fire away and maybe we could get one! Although I love my BW bows and hunt with them, I think a 56 or 58in Dorado would be sweet! Mark
You did specify 17".....As far as I know right now the only offerings in that length are the Titan and the Dalaa.
The maker of the Titan is working on a 17" laminated phenolic riser that accepts ILF limbs called the Vanguard. It's still in the prototype stage. It is a striking looking bow and should appeal to those who want a more "traditional" look. I've shot it and it is very nice but like I said, it's not in production yet.
Thanks for the responses, everyone. I just wanted to get a feel for what is out there, and what people are liking. I prefer a shorter riser because I prefer shorter bows. I have a 16" Morrison ILF riser, which is great, but wanted to try a metal riser to compare. Any excuse, I guess, LOL!
Take care,
Mark
