Title: El Lobo Recurve
Post by: shootrmn on February 25, 2007, 06:12:00 PM
I was given an interesting bow today. the only markings are El Lobo hand written on the lower limb and 37@ 28 just below the grip. It has a rather long site window and part of an adjustable sight attached to the front of the window. There is no shelf to speak of as it is very low and deeply radiused moving from the center of the bow out ( no flat area for a rug). Can anyone tell me anything about this bow? I am thinking of trying to build in a shelf of cocobolo attached with epoxy. I am open for advise and will do nothing to the bow until I understand a little more about it.

We need a bit more information.  Several bowyers made "El Lobo" model bows.  The one I had was a beautiful longbow made by Don Brown.

Do you have pictures?

TexMex, the way Shootrmn describes the shelf (or lack of shelf) doesn't seem to fit with the Fisk El Lobo.  It also doesn't fit with my Don Brown El Lobo.  That Fisk bow is sure a beauty.
