Title: Bow fishing rig
Post by: Stone Knife on February 25, 2007, 07:21:00 AM
After reading a post about a bow fishing get together i was wondering what kind of rig would work on my HH longbow. I would probably have to tape one on it or use tie straps. I have never bow fished but it looks like it could be a good time. Can anyone steer me in the right direction.

Jim,A tape on reel would work fine,or you can by a Great Northern "adapter" that straps on just like thier bow quiver, and accepts a screw-in bow reel.

The Great Northern adapter is probably the best way to go.  You can then attach just about any rig out there to your bow.   I like the AMS system.

No doubt, spend the money on the AMS retriever reel....you WON'T be sorry!!! I also use nothing but Muzzy arrows, with thier gar points, in rocks, grass, mud, on all the rough fish MO. has to offer...they work! The new safety slides are the bomb as well, lots better than the old cable slides!!!
