Smooth On or CA for installing micarta overlay material?

Both will work. I have used CA on 40+ bows with no problems. The time saved with the CA is worth it to me. You can be working the tip within an hour of appling.

I use 5 minute epoxy.

Just make sure your surfaces mate perfectly and that they are scored to give the glue something to bite into.
