My wife hates the name. That's good enough reason to keep it, don't ya think? :D
It's just "my room" in the house. I have a few antlers & photos in it, along with my computer, books, and photo printer. I REALLY envy those who have a hunting cabin on some private property. Now THAT would be heaven on Earth! :campfire:
Jerry, I have a room in the house that I took over when one of our kids left home, figured it would be harder for him to come back home!!!! A few years ago when I was very sick all my hunting buddies came over and rewired, insulated, put up a ceiling and walls, and mounted a propane wall heater in my garage!! Nice guys hey?? I still have to let my much younger girlfriend park her car in there when she isn't in Malibu!!!TEHE... I have walls of framed pictures, but my racks, bows, and bear is still in the house... My pals named the new area the Cialis Palace, be darned, don't even know what that means!!! Closest I can figure is that's the name of a famous hunting lodge in Africa!!!!! Jim
The Cialis Palace? Hmmmm...Maybe they were too hard up to think of something else. :smileystooges:
I do have a few bows hanging in here (used to be my daughter's room. Guess SHE won't be moving back home) and a blacktail mount. I'm keeping one wall clear for an elk mount, if I ever get a nice bull. Maybe this year. My wife's also a photographer, so we have two desks and computers for all the Photoshop work we do in here as well. Now that we're shooting digital exclusively, we've become the photo lab.
When we built the house three years ago I had an actual den with 10' ceilings and a reproduction antler chandelier. Had them put plywood behind the sheetrock on all the walls so I could mount heads anywhere (not that a doe head weighs that much...). Now it's my wife's portrait studio. What a guy won't do for the human version of "the rut". :knothead:
I feel your pain Jerry. Some years back I renovated the downstairs rec. area and put up an addition. I asked my wife which room she wanted.
Her answer was "both". I'm in the garage now.
