It's pretty early for me to find sheds, especially with a foot of snow on the ground yet, but these two just jumped out at me. Can't wait for the snow to melt now! :jumper:
That's pretty neat Brent......
David
brent that is awesome i wouldnt mind findin one that looks like them around here so far we have a spike and the forked one.
But you cheat, the big ones are easier to find :jumper: jk. congrats
Tim
Looks like a good one survived
Those are some dandies. I still see them on the heads, not on the ground.
heck I'm lucky to see deer, finding a shed is the proverbial needle in a haystack around these parts.
the right ones got some decent mass. :)
Highstick you need to go to PA or come too Ohio for a couple days I'll show you some Deer.
Brent,I found my first about 3 weeks ago. We see them strat dropping as early as the end of Jan. some years! Boy, ya may have to have the bbassi deer hunt soon, but only invite me!(LOL!) Shawn
That's some good lookin knife handle material!!
:D :D
Yeah what Shawn said....lol. Nice find buddy. I have been looking...nothing so far. Now if only ya knew someone who could make a knife handle or two out of em.... :saywhat:
thanks guys, that big one is bigger than the pictures show. It's 5.5 inches at the base, between the G1 and G2, AND between the G2 and G3 it's still 5.5 inches. Swampbuck and I figure it's probably a 150 class 8 if the other side matches.
Wapiti Chaser, are you screaming yet? LOL
I went by a friends house on Monday afternoon. He a table covered up with sheds he had found that morning. This is in N Alabama. Middle of Feb is when they start dropping here.

Looks like he will be a shooter next year. Remember I know where you live ! LOL
We have so much snow here now i couldn't find a moose rack. I'll have to wait for the thaw.
Hope at least one of those guys walks past you this season.Never found sheds while looking for them always just stumbled on them during Spring turkey or the following Fall and by then they've been chewed on by rodents.Like you "Stone" I'm gonna wait for things to thaw a bit...it was great talking with you at Shawns' last week by the way...your boy is a real trooper to trudge through all that snow and congrats on your bunny.
GPS coordinates???
Pretty please....
Good hunt!
I never have had much luck finding antlers...until this year. These sets were all found within a few hundred yards of each other. I actully found them in pairs as if they dropped while bedding. The one on the left I found within 50 feet on the same trail, one in the open and the other in some brush. Good thing is, they'll be back.

I saw a nice buck the other day still had his head gear on. I enjoy seeing them but this one was right on the edge of the road in the middle of the night. I missed him and hope to see him next year, while hunting. They always look bigger when you just miss them with you truck!!
