Title: reducing bow weight

Where can I get the weight reduced on one of my bows it is at 66lb and I would like to get 60lb pull. the boe is a quillian canbrake that I dont shot any more because of the weight. Thanks Troy

I talked to BW once about reducing a Widow and they said once they looked at it they might be able to reduce it as much as 8 lbs for 75 bucks.

Since Dan's now gone, I'd talk to a local bowyer.  PM me if you can't find someone and I'll give you a phone number of a guy who probably would.

Check out Belcher Bows in Michigan. They just bought the Massie line. They do this kind of work and if Jeff Massie approves of their craftmanship then I would expect them to be first rate.

Thanks for the lead Bill...I sent a bow to Jeff several years ago to take some weight off.  Didn't know who to use since he got out of the bow business.

With Mr. Quillians recent passing, I would keep the bow as is.  It is now a collectors item.  Just my $0.02.

thetroutguy after I read about Mr. Quillian passing I was thinking the same thing just may not be able to shoot the bow much more though. Thanks for the info guys Troy

8#s would seem an awful lot. I know most bowyers say 5#s at the most, but ya never know. Belcher Bows does do a nice job, so I heard! Shawn
