I've always known of this tape but I decided to give it a try.
This tape is temperary and probably won't last forever but I thought the guys doing no blind hunting for turkeys would like this on there really nice bows they don't want to paint. I've sewed up some nice sleeves for my bows but I like this the best so far for temp. camoflage.Last year I hunted out of a blind. It was fine but the birds didn't really like it even if it was completely brushed in and I missed runnin and bowin. So this year in no blind and camo for the bows and me.

The Bear Kodiak mag is my turkey bow. 45#@28" shooting a 545 grain arrow tipped with a 160 grain snuffer glue on. :saywhat:
Next I'll be making my own leafy wear out of some nice material. More to come. JB
Funny ya posted that, I just did a bow tonight the same way. I mean literrally less than 5 minutes ago!! Mine came out very nice as well!! Shawn

Yes, it was done last weekend, Ya didn't notice it cause you couldn't see it cause its camo man :bigsmyl: It probably looked like I was carring around a riser to a Fedora... LOL!!!! :biglaugh:

That doesn't mar the finish does it? I have wanted to try it but i was scared of ruining the bow.
No it doesn't hurt the bow. It is temperary camo tape for guns and I noticed it looked about a perfect size for limbs. It is sticky backed, and goes on easy. With a quick trim of the razor to fit just right and your done.
Now on the back of the directions it does state that if prolonged sunlight and moisture might make the tape leave a slight sticky residue that would (I think) wash right off.
This stuff would come right off if I wanted it to take it off my bow right now easily so anyone that just wanted to use it for turkey season would have no issues taking it off. I want mine to stay on for good,I like it.

I should also add, that I once did the whole bow with the stuff, it made the bow a tad quieter believe it or not. Nope and it comes right off and ya can use dish soap with warm water to clean the sticky stuff left over after peelimng it off! Shawn
I have an all curly maple that is not stained. You can see it if you check my profile.
My question is How necessary does everyone feel it is to camo their bow?
Mine doesn't shine, and while it is a light color, I don't think that it is un-natural or alarming.
Bighink, I have one like that too. It's about the color of a deer's antler. Think how many times an antler shining in the sun has given away that deer's location to you. Personally, I cover mine if I'm hunting with it, better safe then sorry. - B
Well, I know that little 8 point had no clue.
I was thinking of just taping the front of the limbs. Would that be good enough.
I've also thought about just picking up an old shakespeare, wing, or pearson and painting it. Make it a dedicated turkey hunting beater bow.
I have a green K mag, but with a 30" draw it causes me more trouble then its worth.
I've done my bow like that for the last couple of years. Heck, I'd put some on my eyeballs if I could figure out how to see through it.

Try adding rubber bands with artificial or real foliage.It makes a big difference to my eye hope it does to the birds.
Duckbutt...I kind'a did that last year after having a close in bird spook from what I think was seeing my eyes move. I took some of that shoot thru mesh and sewed it across the eye opening on my leafy head net. Only had 1 close encounter after that and it worked great, had that bird within 10 yds for at least 5 min, AND turned my head 90 degrees with him that close. It was one of those really great turkey encounters...as long as we don'd consider my shooting....let's just say the bird left alive and well and a little smarter.
When it comes to turkey there is no such thing as enough camo. IMHO
