heres a couple pics of my latest set of carbons. those who know me know that I'm chea...er...like to DIY....so got some 50 yards of flourescent yellow vinyl off **** for a couple bucks (3.95 to be exact, shipping was twice as expensive), and got a dozen CX terminators for 30 buck. wrapped and fletched with chartruese fletch and flo yellow nocks.
in continuing the el-cheapo vein.....I searched for a 'cheapo' way to crest the wraps and no markers I found would dry, until I tried sharpie king size markers and they worked great. heres a couple pics:

forgot to add that the fletch are scizzor cut banana/parabolic hybrids about 5" and 1/2" high. and they have 100 grain brass inserts and 200 grain ezpull points.
Nice...so aside from the shafts....how much did it all cost ya? They are some sharp looking nanners.
Looks great, I am impressed. hey I second the cheapo idea. right there with ya. gave me some good ideas.
Thanks
J
Those would never work for an ol' hippie like myself, that intense yellow streaking away would burn after images that might cause a flashback!
Shaun That's a case where "Just Being There Would Be Good Enough" A time WARP :scared: :scared: :bigsmyl:
Well done!
I like the quiver BTW, what is it?
F-Manny
NIce Bunny Huntin arrows.
Sharpies??? Never thought of that..
Maybe I'll try and it might also help out of a situation when the wife asks where her nail polish has gone?? :biglaugh:
not bright enough, though! :bigsmyl: :biglaugh:
NOT "Cheap".........."Frugal" and Welcome to the Club!! You shouldnt have ANY trouble Seeing Those Bad Boys!!
Do they keep you awake at night, or do you Stash them on a Closet or Something??? Them ARE Y-E-L-L-O-W!! :goldtooth:
thanks guys....yah...like that shakes...'frugal'
manny, its just a pocket quiver I made. fits in the back pocket for target shooting. made fomr tandy tooling scraps and scarlet rit dye with montana pitch.
yah....I've been working on my shooting form for the past few months and the yellow fletch makes it really easy to see strange arrow flight...now I just gotta find a way to 'hide' them in my bow quiver while hunting :)
Cool! Now go make some bright ones. ;)
Even I can see those....
I think you just burned out the new lense that was put in my eye....
yah charlie...was thinking about wrapping the entire shaft (which would look like some old bear cedars I bought off of someone who found them in the attick) :)
ps guys..I tried regular sharpies & industrial sharpies and neither worked, only the 'king size' seems to work.
"KING" Size.... How would you write in english that monkey talk that Tim the Tool Man says when talking bigger, stronger, faster?? :biglaugh:

Nice Job! I'v been watching and learning. My first attempt with arrows will definitely be inspired by your "expensive tastes".
Wells
I was wondering how some arrows fletched up like that would look think I'll order some more arrows tonight.
Hickstic beautiful! My kind of arrows you won't have any trouble following them into the"spot"
Never mind the weight or spine....what's the Gieger reading on those boys?!! Smart job hickstick.
Graham
nice work :0)
I love em!!!!!!!!!
Brighter the better!!!!
thanks guys. not the prettiest..but hopefully wont be hard to find when I'm 'diggin around' behind the 3d (if you know what I mean) :D
they look good to me!!! If you shoot arrows in the woods down here they better be bright like that or you won't find 'em!!!
hickstick;
What kinda nocks you got on those? They look like classics. Not really happy witht he nocks I've got on my CX shafts.
jeff...I believe they are Signature Nocks bought from Kustom King (http://ns1.bowsite.org/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=6&Product_ID=1165&CATID=8)
they aren't a sponsor here, but I'm sure you could find that at a Trad Gang sponor.
man...gotta tell yah...went out to shoot at around 4pm and my last arrow of the day just missed high over the 3ds back and burrowed under the snow. NO PROBLEM with these puppies...I could actually see it glowing THROUGH the snow :D
looked as if it was trying to melt the snow above it. (not to mention that they were super easy to watch in flight!)
LOOK at the bright side , now ya got enough money for pair of those BLUE - BLOCKER sun glasses...LOL :saywhat: :saywhat: :saywhat:
Just think of the money you'll save in batteries for the flashlight when hunting. You could probably blood trail in the dark with those.
thats is my favorite color combo to!!!
they look so awsome in lowlight huh!?!??
thats is my favorite color combo to!!!
they look so awsome in lowlight huh!?!?? they just glow
thats funny mark....just think of what kind of tear in the fabric of the universe i could cause by donning a pair of 3d glasses and viewing them under a blacklight :D
