I have posted a couple of times trying to find out the recommended brace height for the bow I got last week.I have not gotten a single response. It is a double shelf Bear Cub. It is 62" and 44# at 28". I believe it is a 1954 bow. Does anyone have a guess at BH? Thanks.
My guess......and what I usually do with an unknown, start around 7"-7 1/2" and adjust for good arrow flight, string noise, ect. from there.
I have to agree with varmint. Start as he said, but in the end, you have to shoot a bunch of arrows and see what is right for the bow, your arrows, yours shooting style. Don't wait for an answer, just start playing!
Post this question on the Trad History/Collecting forum and I'll bet you get the answer you are looking for.
I had one that shot well at 7". I looked, and I couldn't find any previous posts on this subject. what was the title of the thread?
