I'm dreaming about a Gaboon Ebony and Osage riser.
Does anyone have any pics of these woods combined in a riser?
Thanks,
JD

Always wondered witch Ebony was witch, The Macassar usually has the light and dark variations right??

Heres My Osage/Gaboon bow I made back in 1997. I have lugged it from coast to coast and Alaska to South Texas. it's going to Mexico in April. The osage has aged to perfection. I just refinished it with a fullerplast dusting to dull for turkey. It even has a slam under it's belt. It's my favorite and I hunt everything with it.. 62# at 29" with 580 grain 2315 at 205fps..

Can I gets pics of the limbs too?
Both of these bows are beautiful. I just think the combination of the two woods are great looking.

Joebuck, I must say that is a sweet looking bow. Your absolutely right, the Osage aged perfectly.
Thanks guys, obviously i'm proud of it. When I laid out the bow, i made my herring bone inlay out of Ebony and Osage also. So my limbs are Osage, gaboon wedges, osage riser back, inlay and gaboon riser belly. I made 2 of these back in 97'. Now I have a 4 year old and 2 year old sons..i guess something I could pass to them.. Great thing about fullerplast is that you can take rottenstone and shine it back to gloss... it took me as long to scrimshaw and checker my handle than it did to make both both bows!!!!!
I have another pic of my bow under "No Blind turkey methods"..I'm with ya'll though..osage and ebony are my favorite.
Goodness Joe,
That's about as pretty a riser as I have seen. Good work.
joebuck, you did a heck of a job on that bow! The shape of the riser, radius shelf, that herring bone inlay and the checkering all look fantastic! You should be very proud. Mike
