Words like;
Stacking
String follow
etc.
Is there a place to find the terms and their meanings ?
I can set up my bow and shoot it, build arrows, even harvest game with it, but I'm a little ignorent when it comes to some of these terms used.
Thanks,
Jerald
Good morning Flintlock. I have a copy of a great book right up your alley. It's called Traditional Archery By Sam Fadala. If you give me your address I'll mail it out to you to read [should answer all your questions] and when your done just mail it back pal
fflintlock, The Traditional Bowhunters Handbook, by T.J,Conrads, has a glossary in the back of the book, with a lot of terms.it is a very informative book.

A lot of the older books have glossaries too. Watch for them on eBay or haunt used book store. If you like the traditions of archery, it's fun to read the old documents.
Stacking - having a real good season and stacking up the kills.
String follow - paying attention to which way the string went when you took a shot so you can find your arrow.
Nock - Teasing your buddy on the big deer he shot with smallish antlers. Nocking him back down a notch with talk of poor genetics and feed.
Point - Doing the above until he gets the point.
Non typical - Putting a stand in a strange location, a non typical hunting set up.
Stuff like that, its easy. :wavey:
Bowdude,
