I just switched to shooting wood arrows and want some advice on whether 2 or 3 blade broadheads work best. I am thinking of using the Zwickey Eskimos.
Depends on the species you hunt, arrow weight, and arrow speed.
I'll be hunting boar and whitetail and my setup is a 55# Morrison longbow shooting 161 on the chrono with 577 grain poplars.
If I had that setup, I'd be flinging Wensel Woodsmans.
This will get more response on Pow Wow.
I use Snuffers 3-blade 160grn from my Shrew 52#@26" ....arrows Ash shafts 65-70 28" BOP.
I have always liked 3-blades, but 2-blades go in deeper... Both are great on any game as long as you hit the spot...
I am using(currently)Satellite RazorHead screw-ins through a 50lb. Browning Wasp bow and with Easton Legacy 2219's behind them-----they are just awesome. I am, however, switching to the Zwickey Eskimo's for my new cedars.
I like two-blade broadheads personally, and haven't had any trouble making a clean kill with them. Like mysticguido says----hit the spot, and you get the kill. I guess whether or not you utilize 2 or 3 blade heads is entirely a preference thing.

I switched from alm. to cedar. My 11-32 cedars with a 100 grain 3-blade bodkin came out to 520 total. I'm having great penetration with the set up even on not so great hits on deer. We have heard so many times about how you should keep your heads sharp, I feel this is more important than 2 or 3 blade. The other item I,m always concerned is how the arrow hits the target, you want that to be as straight as possible for better penetration. I'd rather have one hole in the boiler room then a complete pass thru in the grass-bag.
For these big ole texas hogs, I use Magnus II two-bladers. CX Heritage 250's. I've had much better luck with 2's than 3's.
I shoot Zwickeys and they seem to pretty indestructable!
Bottomline-shoot what flies best for ya, Love STOS but have ordered some WWs.
