I have a Takedown on the way. I most likely won't be flying anywhere with it so I can't justify the cost of a SKB hard case. I figure taking it down all the time would be a hassle every time I go to a shoot plus extra wear and tear. So what soft case offers good protection of a $600 recurve and arrows?
Thanks, Ron
Black Widow travel vault. It is a pelican case and worth every dollar. I would rather spend it up front to be certain the bow arrives intact than arrive in more pieces than it left.
Kathy Kelly used to have a nice soft case, haven't
checked in a while.Used to have one and packed it in my suitcase.Good protection.

A takedown shootgun case works very good. Cost is about 50.00 and you can fly with it.
I also have a SKb double that I bought off ebay for a 100.00 new.
Bows will come and go but a good case will last a life time.JMO
I have a Safarituff Rhino case made by Rod Jenkins. It works like a champ and I have no complaints about it.
I use the "Safari Tuff" soft bow-case, which is made by Rod Jenkins...I have four of them. Cost is about $60. IMHO, You will not find a better case.
I bought this one years ago and use it to carry my back up bow w/arrows to Colorado. It will hold 24 arrows,2 takedown handles,2 sets of limbs. Or with one bow I can fit my Delta quiver(disassembled) in it. All of my Bighorn bows came with a soft case for the bow, limbs, string, bow limb bolts.

Thanks for the answers everyone. What about cases I can leave it assembled in that also holds arrows.
A double scoped rifle case.
I just bought one of those arrow cases that go for around $30. I put new foam in the bottom and it takes the take down bow fine. The top still holds a dozen arrows if you reverse them and double them up in the slots. Pretty easy solution.

I found an old hard side instrument case at a flea market. It holds my bow and arrows. At 31 1/2 long it's perfect.
Kathy Kelly Unstrung Recurve Case with the cutout for a quiver.
rtherber.....who made the hard case and do I contact them?? allen
roper, I think I bought it at Cabelas back in 1989-90 when I had my first custom takedown made. The closest thing I can find to it now is the SKB Double recurve case and it costs as much as a recurve bow almost(229.00) I'll try to find a brand on this one and we'll see if they're still in business.
OK, I remember now. It is made by Hoppe and it is their "Protecto" case. I looked it up on their website. This is the same company known for their gun cleaning solvent....ie...Hoppe's #9. Hope that helps.
I have a black widow case that works very well strung or unstrung with quiver full of arrows on the bow #400 in catalog. I also have #405 in catalog it has pocket on the side for arrows.
