Title: Stained Paul Bunyan
Post by: pdk25 on March 21, 2024, 06:14:59 PM
Last night after work, I put some stain on one of my Paul Bunyan. A nice guy on another site told me how he did his. I used a light walnut stain at first and made it kind of a caramel color but then I blob some dark walnut on it for a camo effect. Pretty big difference between what it looked like to start and after.[attachment=1][attachment=2][attachment=3]

Pat;
I'll have to give that a try after I get mine shooting.  D97 string is cooking.

May have to research how to get paint off a Fiberglas bow, or just add some blotches/splatter to the existing paint job.  Perhaps my next one will get a stain job.

Hey Mike, I have cleaned up a few painted bows. I find de natured alcohol with 0000 steel wool works fine . Go slow and take your time. Looking forward to finished pics.
