1st I'd like to thank all that have contributed and those that have either signed up or renewed their Contributing Membership as these HUGE changes that are coming in early 2024 are a lot of work and are costing a bit as well. If any of ya'll have been thinking about becoming a Contributing Member or just make a contribution now would be a good time to do so as we can use all the help we can get.
Rob and I have been working closely to best figure all this out and Rob has contacted people he knows in the computer tech industry for consulting. We have a plan, but not sure if it will be compatible with what we need to achieve due to our format/software and server comparability. A lot of trial and error have been taking place for over 2 months now. However, Rob and I are already working on a provisional route which is time that may or may not be wasted, but we have no choice.
Rob may make a post explaining some of the issues depending on what plan we have to go with.
We are calling the issue the 'HH BUG GOT ME' syndrome. We have part 1, part 2, and now part 3. Parts 1 and 2 (threads 1 and 2) were filled with so much info the thread were in jeopardy of crashing. Rob saw this on the 1st HH thread years ago, so he started a part 2. Then part 2 got to full as well so we now have a part 3. This is the issue we are dealing with. Software new server compatibility and SO MUCH info on Tradgang has become an issue, i.e. 2,886,262 Posts in 165,722 Topics. This is also causing the drag time and timing out problems we are experiencing. What ever we end up doing with fix that.
