I have a left hand Welchman longbow. Because there is no shelf could it be converted to right hand ?
I am a lefty, but I can't handle the poundage and it would be easier to sell it if it was right handed.
If the bow (handle) is symmetrical, it can be shot both left and right handed. A handy man could easily add another arrow pass on the other side of the bow if needed.
Thanks for the reply. I'm not to handy, but know some guys who are.
Those bows are ambidextrous. I'd advertise and sell it that way. That way, you have both righties and lefties in the buyer pool. Leave it to the buyer to move the strike plate. Good luck.
Thanks, for the suggestion of listing it ambi.
I had more than a few welchmans, yeah I agree with posts above they are fine either side but use a stiff spine arrow.
