Title: The last from 2023, and it's a special one
Post by: Gdpolk on August 27, 2023, 10:38:39 AM
Sponsors are encouraged to do one post a month to highlight their products.  I do less than that.  This one is finished and is available in the Sponsors Classifieds or on my website if you are interested:

Bear season opens in 2 weeks and it is unlikely that I'll get another finished before season opens up.  Historically, I close down the knife shop each fall until the new year to pursue hunting opportunities and make pricing adjustments at some point during that closure.

9", hand rubbed 1000-grit finish, federally embargoed Sambar stag handle, silver fittings, this one is nice and I don't do very many bigger blades at all...

Thanks Dale. It was fun to make. I planned to keep it for a hunt that fell through and I've been on the fence about selling it or not but I can't keep them all. Perhaps someone will want it and get some joy from it.

Seriously, I have never had the urge to ask one out on a date, but that knife deserves a special "life" out! My goodness, what a beautiful piece of glowing metal! :notworthy:

Bows are good too.

I think I am likely done buying bows for a really long time, possibly forever unless I buy for family.  I have a one piece and two piece grail bow for me at the same draw weight that share a large stash of arrows.  They meet all of my needs for now and have for a number of years.  I can't even remember the last time I looked at the bows section of the classifieds.  It's been years.
