Shawn Swafford aka Ringneck has passed after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. He was a great knife maker, fly fisherman, custom rifle maker and long time stick bow shooter. He and I became friends though Trad Gang when he bought a custom RER bow that had my name on it. He was living in Kansas at the time and when my wife and I ventured to Texas one year we visited in person with Shawn and his lovely wife Shannon. Their hospitality was splendid and it was so good to visit and shoot bows with Shawn in person vs internet and phone. Shortly after our visit Shawn moved his family to Idaho where he grew up. He was like a brother to me and I apologize for being long winded but I am hurting and will miss him tremendously. But he will always be with me in the woods in the form of two finely crafted knives he gifted me. Rest in peace brother, you left too soon. If this is wrong forum please move accordingly.
