Title: Bow Quiver for short-riser recurve
Post by: Archie on August 03, 2023, 08:22:49 PM
I'm looking for a limb-bolt quiver for a 56" Cascade Nighthawk.  Found this picture here on TG of someone else's bow, and it appears to have extensions to keep the quiver & arrows more centered with the bow.  Can anyone tell me if there is anything similar on the market these days?

That's a Selway bolt-on.  They're still being made.

That's what it looked like to me. I checked their website, and didn't see the extensions or wings. Couldn't find anything similar on the internet either.

The one in the photo is their side mount option - I believe their current side mount offering is the same connections / extension length but are now exposed pieces (i.e. the extension isn't clad in leather like the ones in the photo).  The option is still available on their website for the side mount (attaches to bushings in the side of the riser like shown in the photo you posted.)

You're right.  I failed to realize that the picture is of a side-mount, a pretty dumb thing to miss, as it's pretty obvious!  But my search will continue, I'd like to get a limb-bolt mount, with extensions.

Thanks Kirk.  I emailed them earlier and am waiting for a reply as to whether they have extensions.

They have always been great to work with and generally answer questions and fill orders quickly. Good folks with great products!

Take a look at the Marksman Quivers bolt down. Available with setback brackets which can be mounted at any angle desired.

Thanks. So far, it looks like Marksman is the only one that has what I'm looking for.

The Gunshy quivers have a lot of adjustability to work on short riser bows and still move the quiver around to get the placement you want.  I'm only speaking from looking at their website and videos, as I've never actually owned one.

Give Big Jim's quiver a look. I've have some of the top brands, and Big Jim's is probably my favorite. Reasonably priced, fits any bow, has a kick back bracket as an option. Just a really nice quiver.
